Crop Diagnostic School

July 9 to 12 and July 16 - 18, 2019

The Crop Diagnostic School is designed to refine the diagnostic skills of agronomists and producers involved in field scouting and assessing crop health. This event is organized by Manitoba Agriculture and the University of Manitoba (U of M).

Daily sessions for the 2019 school will be held July 9 to 12 and July 16 to 18.  Please register early to ensure your booking. 

CCA Credit will be offered in areas of Nutrient Management, Soil and Water Management, Integrated Pest Management and Crop Management. Certified Crop Science Consultant (CCSC) CEU also offered.

The Manitoba Crop Diagnostic School has been running since 1996 with approximately 400-500 people attending each year. This comprehensive hands-on approach to learning attracts new and past attendees to take part each year.

Join us for a unique learning environment to help you scout fields and recognize potential problems. You will also get an update on the latest crop management issues. We will have you assessing, scouting, and identifying while giving you a non-biased whole-perspective approach towards farming.

2019 Crop Diagnostic School Fees

  • Cost to attend is $175 per person, cash, cheque or e-transfer only.
  • Reduced rate for students and farmers is $50 per person, limited to 15 spots/day NEW
  • Group discounts for pre-registrations of 50+ participants to attend in same day.
  • Certified Crop Advisor and Certified Crop Science Consultant credits are available.

Notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours prior to your date of registration or a $35 cancellation fee will be charged.


All workshops are conducted at the Ian N. Morrison Research Farm, the U of M's Carman research facility, located 1.8 km west of Carman, Manitoba on Hwy 245. Physical Marker for Farm is #25024 Hwy245.
