Arts Education

Manitoba recognizes the importance of arts education both for its capacity to enhance the quality of life for Manitobans of all ages as well as ensuring future audiences, arts consumers and the next generation of artists and cultural labor force. 

Arts education is supported at the community level through the delivery of a variety of funding programs and a unique partnership with Manitoba Education and the Manitoba Arts Council in the delivery of programs such as the Arts Education Access Program, the After School Arts Enrichment Program and the Youth Performing Arts Travel Grant that offer funding support to community groups and schools access to programming for children and youth.

The delivery of arts education is a vital part of provincial organizations such as:

• Manitoba Conservatory of Music and Arts.
