Borrowing materials from other libraries

  • The Library will arrange to borrow materials not held by us from other libraries on your behalf. This service is called interlibrary loan.
  • The interlibrary loan service is offered only for work-related items required to fill the information needs of users. Requests for leisure reading, course materials, genealogy, etc. should be directed to a public library or the appropriate university/college library.
  • Interlibrary loan fees may be applied by the lending library. (The lending library is the institution who owns the desired item).
  • To request a book or an article not held by us, you will need to contact library staff. It helps to have as much information about the material you want such as the title of the book or article, the magazine name, author(s), date and publisher.
