COTTAGE LOT PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
Province Provides Opportunity for Manitobans to Secure Lots From Previous Draws: Struthers
Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, Manitobans will have the opportunity, to purchase or lease unclaimed cottage lots from previous draws on a first-come, first-served basis, Conservation Minister Stan Struthers announced today.
The First-come First-served program will allow Manitobans to purchase one lot for the first thirty days with no purchase limit after that. All applications must be submitted to the Manitoba Conservation office at 200 Saulteaux Cres., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3W3. For the first two weeks, applications must be made in person. After Nov. 6, applications may be made in person or by mail.

Free Manitoba Park Entry for
2009 and 2010
Manitoba Conservation has announced that there will be free park entry into provincial parks until April 30, 2011. In tough economic times, families may look for recreation closer to home, so we would like to encourage all Manitobans and visitors to Manitoba to enjoy and explore
our provincial parks.
Announcement of Manitoba-Ontario Interprovincial Wilderness Area
Manitoba and Ontario have signed a memorandom of understanding to co-operate on conserving valuable natural habitat and ensuring proper recreation use by establishing Canada's first Interprovincial Wilderness Area. This area covers more than 9, 400 square kilometres and includes Atikaki and parts of Nopiming Provincial Parks in Manitoba.
