PINE FALLS PAPER COMPANY LIMITED - TWO YEAR FORESTRY PLAN 1999-2000 (CLIENT FILE: 4312.00)
A proposal, Operating & Renewal Plan (1999-2000), together with an Environmental Impact Statement, has been filed by Pine Falls Paper Company Limited for an Environment Act Licence to undertake a Two Year Forestry Plan, 1999-2000 within Forest Management License Area # 1, and within the Company's Integrated Wood Supply Areas (East and West).
Various forest management activities within FML Area #1, and within the Company's Integrated Wood Supply Areas (East and West), are proposed in the Plan. These forest management activities include road construction, timber harvesting and forest renewal.
In addition to preparing the Two Year Plan and EIS, the Company has indicated that they are in the preliminary stages of preparing a Ten Year Forestry Plan (2001-2010) and accompanying EIS. Upon submission of the Ten Year Plan proposal, Draft EIS Guidelines will be made available for public review and comment. The Ten Year Plan and EIS will be forthcoming at a future date for public review and comment.
