CAMBRIAN STONE INC. - MANUFACTURING FACILITY - LAC DU BONNET (CLIENT FILE: 4492.00)
A proposal has been filed by Mr. Steve Sheppard of ECO Matters Inc., on behalf of the Cambrian Stone Inc., for the construction and operation of a 250,000 square foot facility located on 42.16 acres at Sec. 17, Twp. 15, Rge. 11 EPM in the Town of Lac du Bonnet. The development will process waste granite, sand and polymer resins into slabs, tiles and counter tops. It is anticipated that 13,000 tonnes of product will be manufactured annually. Activities at the development are: storage and handling of rock and granular material; mixing of rock/sand with resins; oven curing; and cutting and polishing of the finished product. There is a potential for emissions of particulates, noise and odour from the Development. Air emission control devices have been proposed. Recycling for the majority of process water has also been proposed. Anticipated normal operation of the development will be 8 hours per day, 300 days per year.
