On April 17, 2000, a proposal was filed on behalf of 70488 Manitoba Ltd. (Rosebank Colony) for an alteration to the method of effluent disposal associated with the operation of a domestic wastewater treatment lagoon. The lagoon facility is located on the northwest quarter of Section 22-5-6 WPM in the Rural Municipality of Thompson. The Proposal requests approval for an optional disposal method that would include the discharge of treated wastewater into the south arm of the Tobacco Creek that flows into the Little Morris River downstream of the Rosenort reservoir. This would be a change from the current method of wastewater disposal by irrigation on agricultural land.
