Management of Dutch elm disease in Manitoba, is governed by the newly proclaimed
Forest Health and Protection Act and The Forest Health Protection Regulations.
The new legislation replaces The Dutch Elm Disease Act (repealed) and is the first comprehensive, provincial legislation in Canada that protects forest resources from invasive forest threats.
