Gifts of the Red Self-guiding Walk

Look at all the people fishing! Lockport's resources have drawn people to this location for 3000 years and will continue to do so provided its resources are protected and conserved. The trail has 10 on-site interpretive signs that explain the river's diverse environment, the great herds of bison that once roamed its banks and the St. Andrews Lock and Dam. The trail has many striking views of the Red River. Return distance 0.7 km. Allow 45 min. While in Lockport take time to visit the Kenosewun Museum, which features native artifacts that date back 3000 years.
