What do you think of the proposed new plan for waste packaging?

The Manitoba government is considering a new plan to enhance our province’s successful Blue Box recycling program.

The plan was developed by Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM), the industry association that will be responsible for managing the program.

Highlights of the proposed plan

• Strengthened recycling programs throughout the province
• Increased beverage container recycling
• Expanded plastic bag recycling
• Support for schools, post-secondary education institutions, public space, and public event recycling
