Working for the Manitoba Government

Supportive Employment Services (SES)

What is Supportive Employment?

The Manitoba government recognizes that from time to time, an employee may suffer medical illness, injury or a restrictive medical condition and require consideration and assistance. To that end, the Manitoba government has adopted the philosophy of supportive employment in managing and assisting employees with their employment issues resulting from medical illness or injury.

The intent of this resource tool is to provide guidance to Human Resource Consultants, Manager and Supervisors on how to manage and help employees experiencing injury, illness or disability by making reasonable and responsible arrangements to productively accommodate them in the workplace.
