Research

Canada Northwest FASD Research Network
The Network aims to build research capacity across Western Canada and the Territories to address high priority research questions, to devise more effective prevention and support strategies for women, for individuals with FASD and their families, and to better inform policy. FASD Research Scientist Award
This award has been established in partnership with the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Community Health Sciences. This award is intended to increase local research in the area of FASD, secure more funding for FASD research and inform policy development in this area.

FASD Screening
Data on alcohol use during pregnancy is routinely collected in Manitoba from women who have recently had a baby. This information is important for understanding general trends and patterns of alcohol use during pregnancy and is used to inform policy and programming decisions.
