The Parent Child Coalitions Program promotes and supports community-based programs and activities for children, youth and their families. This approach brings together community strengths and resources within a geographic boundary through partnerships or coalitions between groups from different sectors. Through the stages of development, implementation and evaluation, the parent-child centred approach supports existing activities and initiates new activities that reflect each community's diversity and unique needs.
