The effects of problematic substance use and gambling in Manitoba have far reaching impacts on individuals, families and communities.  There is a broad range of harms impacting the physical, social, emotional and financial health of Manitobans. Making positive choices around misusing substances and problematic gambling is important to balanced healthy living.

Governments, communities, families and individuals have a role to play to help Manitobans achieve healthy living. The Addictions Management Unit of Healthy Living, Youth and Seniors provides funding and provincial policy direction in the area of problematic substance use and gambling.
