The following Version 1.0, Version 2.0, Manitoba-1.0, and MB_SRTM files are available to be downloaded.

  1. This link contains a DEMSM Version 1.0 zip file containing three files (DEMSMV1.txt, ASCII GRID INFO.txt, and ASCII GRID INFO.doc) when unzipped. The first, DEMSMV1.txt, is an ASCII grid file that can be imported into many GIS software packages. This file represents the entire DEM at 100 metre resolution. The two remaining files explain the format of the ASCII grid file.

    ASCII Grid (asciidemsmv1.zip)
    (27 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 190 Mb)

  2. This link contains a second DEMSM Version 1.0 zip file containing (DEMSMv1.tab and DEMSMv1.grd) when unzipped, that can be opened directly into MapInfo® and Vertical Mapper® for MapInfo® desktop mapping software. These files represent the entire DEM at 100 metre resolution.

    MapInfo® (Vertical Mapper®) Grid (midemsm.zip)
    (26 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 82 Mb)

  3. This link contains a third zip file which contains a high resolution (similar resolution to the DEM) copy of the original DEM that can be opened into most image-handling software packages.

High resolution TIFF image of the DEM (demsmv1.zip)
    (14 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 30 Mb)

  4. This link contains a DEMSM Version 2.0 zip file containing three files (DEMSMV2.txt, ASCII GRID INFO.txt, and ASCII GRID INFO.doc) when unzipped. The first, DEMSMV2.txt, is an ASCII grid file that can be imported into many GIS software packages. This file represents the entire DEM at 100 metre resolution. The two remaining files explain the format of the ASCII grid file.

    ASCII Grid (asciidemsmv2.zip)
    (82 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 360 Mb

  5. This link contains a second DEMSM Version 2.0 zip file containing two files (DEMSMv2.tab and DEMSMv2.grd) when unzipped, that can be opened directly into MapInfo® and Vertical Mapper® for MapInfo® desktop mapping software. These files represent the entire DEMSM Version 2.0 at 100 metre resolution.

    MapInfo® (Vertical Mapper®) Grid (midemsmv2.zip)
    (72 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 140 Mb)

  6. This link contains a third DEMSM Version 2.0 zip file which contains a high resolution (similar resolution to the DEM) copy of the original DEM that can be opened into most image-handling software packages.

High resolution TIFF image of the DEM (demsmv2.zip)
    (20 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 77 Mb)

  7. This link contains a Manitoba-1 zip file which contains a high resolution (similar resolution to the DEM) copy of the original Manitoba DEM that can be opened into most image-handling software packages.

High resolution TIFF image of the DEM (manitoba1.zip)
    (4 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 54 Mb)

  8. This link contains a MB_SRTM zip file containing 2 folders, and 19 files. When unzipped, these files can be opened directly into ARCGIS® and Spatial/3D Analyst® for ARCGIS® desktop mapping software. These files represent the entire Province of Manitoba at a 90 metre resolution.

    ARCGIS® (Spatial/3D Analyst®) Grid (MB_SRTM.zip)
    (54 Mb zip file - uncompressed = 120 Mb)
