Since 1995, Manitoba has offered over $38 million in direct financial assistance for mineral exploration in the province through the Mineral Exploration Assistance Program (MEAP) and the Manitoba Prospectors Assistance Program (MPAP). Information on these and other exploration and development incentives are provided below:

Double Required Work Credits:

Manitoba has introduced double work assessment credits for all eligible exploration expenses incurred in calendar years 2014 to 2016 to help companies explore through these challenging economic times. Manitoba is the only Canadian jurisdiction to offer double assessment credits.
