The results of competitive bidding on November 13, 2013 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Mineral Resources, resulted in a total of $398,856.65 being added to provincial revenue.
Seven lease parcels, covering 575.35 hectares (1421.69 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $394,042.92. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $684.88 ($277.17 per acre).
Scott Land & Lease Ltd, paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Pierson area. The firm paid $2,016.62 per hectare ($816.11 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the last of four sales scheduled for 2013. The next sale will be held on February 12, 2014. The deadline for posting requests is November 15, 2013.
