Corrections
The Corrections Division (Corrections) helps protect society by enforcing orders and sentences given by
the courts. The division provides humane care and control of offenders and helps them return to
society.
Corrections' mandate is to manage offenders with the appropriate degree of control, supervision and support. It provides programs and services to help offenders deal with the issues that cause conflict with the law.
Community Justice
Manitoba takes a balanced approach to justice, the traditional court system and the community-based
justice system. The Community Justice Branch supports over sixty justice committees and several
community-based justice programs.
