Monsieur Steve Ashton

Welcome to the Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation website, where you’ll find comprehensive information on a wide range of topics, including: current highway conditions, construction projects and tenders, driver’s licensing and plans for future infrastructure and transportation goals.

Since 2002, the Manitoba Government has been implementing its long term transportation strategy: 2020 – Manitoba’s Transport Vision. Since 2002, the Manitoba government has been implementing its long term transportation strategy. Through consultations with the public and innovative experts and partnerships with many local and federal governments, we have made significant inroads in building this province. And we continue to improve and renew city and town streets and bridges, provincial highways and bridges and critical transportation routes in rural and northern Manitoba.

We are proud of the progress we have made, and continue to make, in building quality infrastructure and transportation networks in this province. We continue to invest in stimulus infrastructure projects that are fuelling our economy. These investments will create jobs in the province; renew the province’s cultural facilities, schools and health facilities; and improve and expand the province’s water-treatment facilities.

This site also provides information on employment with provincial infrastructure projects – a sector that continues to offer exciting opportunities.

I invite you to check back here regularly for updates and new information on important projects and accomplishments.
