Procurement Services Branch maintains an Aboriginal Business Directory to serve as a resource guide for all government buyers. The Directory is a listing of businesses that have formally registered under the Aboriginal Procurement Initiative. Each business is categorized according to the information on goods and services provided in the registration profile. The Directory is comprised of a wide variety of business sectors (i.e. restaurants, accommodations, construction, information technology, consulting services), as well as non-profit organizations and economic development corporations.
The purpose of the Aboriginal Business Directory:
The Directory is updated on an a regular basis as registrations by Aboriginal business are recieved. As business profiles and corporate information (address, fax number, etc.) may change over time, Procurement Services Branch will also conduct an overall review of the Directory with changes updated periodically. Inclusion of a business in the Directory does not signify an endorsement by the Government of Manitoba.
If you are an Aboriginal owned business and have yet to register for the Aboriginal Procurement Initiative, more information on the API and the application forms are downloadable here.
Businesses may be requested to provide an updated status of their Aboriginal certification and may be subject to audit both prior to and subsequent to contract awards.
An electronic version of the Aboriginal Business Directory is available here to view or save to your local computer.
