Electronic Tendering

The Manitoba Government is committed to the application of open and fair tendering practices, to the greatest extent possible. All Manitoba tenders over the Trade Agreements thresholds are advertised and distributed by MERX, an electronic tendering service, on Manitoba's behalf.  This provides vendors with a low cost, easily accessible means of seeking out and obtaining Manitoba tenders without limitation.

The Canadian Public Tenders Gateway, also known as MARCAN, has been developed to help Canadian companies identify internet sites that may publish tender notices for procurement opportunities for public sector organizations across Canada.

The Government of Alberta is host to a website called the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) that is being used to advertise tender notices from all provincial jurisdictions, including Manitoba. Refer to Information Bulletin 94 for details.
