Thank you for visiting the Manitoba Status of Women website. As Minister responsible for the Status of Women, I am pleased to share with you the important work we are doing to promote equality for all women in Manitoba.

Manitoba Status of Women provides the government with research and support to address the needs of women in policy, programs and legislation. The Manitoba Women’s Advisory Council, works within the Manitoba Status of Women, to represent the issues and concerns of Manitoba women to the Government of Manitoba. The Council is made up of a chair and community members appointed by the provincial government. They consult with me on important and emerging issues for women across the province.

The role of the Manitoba Status of Women is to promote issues of concern to women both within government and the community. Our website reflects much of this important work, as it contains information about programs, publications and research on women's issues. Through the website, you can also connect with what is happening in the women's and equality-seeking communities across Manitoba. You can read about upcoming events in the women's community, or connect with other organizations when planning your next event.
