Provincial law requires placing children in the appropriate car seat until they are at least 145 cm (4'9"), 36 kg (80 lb.) or nine years old.

It’s illegal to use any handheld electronic device while driving in Manitoba. Drivers caught using their cell phone, iPod or other hand-held devices will receive two demerits plus a monetary fine.
