Apprenticeship Training Package - Confirmation of enrolment

At the start of an apprenticeship, the apprentice will receive the following:

  • Confirmation Letter of Apprenticeship Registration
Report of Hours (blue book) - Used to record hours worked. It is the responsibility of the apprentice to ensure that work hours are recorded and submitted to Apprenticeship Manitoba every six months or before technical training.

IMPORTANT: Although an apprenticeship employer/trainer has the option to record apprentice hours worked online at www.accessmanitoba.ca, it is strongly recommended that the apprentice also obtains verification of hours in the Report of Hours booklet for their own record.  Only hours documented by the employer/trainer in the Report of Hours will count towards the accumulated hours required to complete the practical training component of Apprenticeship training.  If an apprentice changes employers, the Report of Hours must be updated and the booklet (regardless of online submissions) should be submitted to Apprenticeship Manitoba. If the booklet is updated regularly, this will help to ensure that work hours are granted as documented in preparation to begin work with a new employer.

  • Pocket Card – Identifies the apprentice, trade and employer. Apprentices are encouraged to keep this card with them at all times. Lost or stolen cards will be subject to a replacement fee.
