Instructors who deliver trades-related programs can apply to have their programs accredited to Apprenticeship Branch standards. Students who complete an accredited program receive credit towards continued apprenticeship training.
Employment counsellors can get current trade career information for secondary and post-secondary students as well as for adults who want to change careers or become certified in a trade. Information includes details on the apprenticeship training process, trade job descriptions and certification requirements. College trade instructors can access the most current information regarding apprenticeship trades. Information includes trade regulations, trade descriptions and the names of Apprenticeship Coordinators assigned to these trades.
