Message from the Minister of Central Services

As Manitoba’s Minister of Central Services, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our department’s website - your portal to Manitoba Government’s internal service delivery organization that support government’s procurement, Information Technology (IT), and capital management functions.

Governments across the globe are striving to transform public services to meet citizens’ expectations that are relevant in the modern world. A key element in transforming how government works is to ensure that public servants have the right tools and resources to redesign programs and services to provide accessible and easy to use end-to-end services to all Manitobans better, faster and at a lower cost to taxpayers. Manitoba Central Services takes pride in its critical role that enables the public service to deliver programs and services that address the needs of our citizens while achieving intended outcomes.

Central Services provides strategic oversight, policy direction and service delivery in procurement, IT, and capital management with a focus on modernizing government services and building capacity across the broader public sector. Our team designs and delivers a variety of programs and services to Manitoba’s public service and clients within the broader public sector.

This website provides information about our work in a variety of key service areas, including:

We work with federal, provincial/territorial and municipal levels of government and community organizations to undertake the challenging work of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of government’s programs and services to provide Manitobans with high-quality, relevant, and meaningful services they deserve.
