Mortgage documents must be issued by the financial institution that holds the mortgage, and must show your name and address. A Land Titles document must show your current name and address. Letters from lawyers or realtors are not acceptable.

Lease issued by a property management company or private landlord must contain your name and address, the leasing company’s name and address, your signature and a leasing company signature. If you are subletting or added mid-term, a letter from a tenancy agency with your name and start of occupancy must accompany the original lease.

A rental agreement between family members residing in the same residence is also acceptable, providing it contains the applicant’s name, address of rental, and signatures of applicant and renter. This agreement must be signed by a Manitoban Notary Public or Manitoban Commissioner of Oath to confirm its legitimacy.

A confirmation letter from your Manitoba employer. The letter must be on company letterhead, and must contain your name, the employer’s name, type of employment (full time, part time, contract) and the duration if not permanent employment. This document must contain an issue date no more than one month (30 days) before the date of submission to our office.

This letter must state: 1) names of the applicants for Manitoba Health coverage living with them in the residence, and 2) intended length of stay at the residence beyond the writing of the letter. It must be signed by a Manitoban Notary Public or Manitoban Commissioner of Oath. This document must contain an issue date no more than one month (30 days) before the date of submission to our office.

This letter would be provided by a supporter organization, confirming intended residency in Manitoba. This option is only available to individuals receiving assistance from a known Resettlement Assistance Program or Sponsorship Agreement Holder operating in Manitoba. This document must contain an issue date no more than one month (30 days) before the date of submission to our office.

A letter from a Newcomer Service Provider confirming residency in the province signed by a Manitoban Notary Public or Manitoban Commissioner of Oath.

The bill must be from a recognized utility for ongoing utility service at a physical residential address in Manitoba. This includes natural gas, hydro, waster/water, landline telephone and cable TV. It does not include bills for repairs and maintenance or initial set-up of services. The bill must show your name and address, and all pages of the bill must be presented. Printed copies of electronic bills are accepted. Printed copies of e-bills and screenshots of e-bills if stamped by the service provider are acceptable.

This option must include your name, dwelling address covered under the policy, and must be for a residence in Manitoba that you are actively living in. Timeline restrictions apply.
