Field Description:

-sharp decrease in the abundance of phenocrysts, only about 5 % are greater than 2 mm
-fabric is quite strongly defined as a biotite schistocity
-magnetite appears to occur as fine disseminations within the biotite
-there are several small discrete shears and one zone around 3 m wide of intense granulation and augening
-the granite is reduced to a platy phyllitic schist in the core of this zone
