-several mylonite zones widely spaced on the outcrop
-compressive nature is shown by sympathetic folded of the layers between mylonite zones
PETROLOGIC DATA
Rock Number: 1
-beige to grey weathering MV rich schists comprising beds up to 30 cm thick averaging 15 cm
-most with a mm scale interval lamination
-the original rock was probably a shaly siltstone
-MV forms peasized knots or faserkiesal
-silmanite is not visable but may occur as fibrelite in the MV
-TL is ubiquitos as 2 to 5 mm randomly orientated crystals
| Mineral | Abundance (%) |
---
muscovite
tourmaline
garnet
Rock Number: 2
-1 m thick non-laminated grey fine grained protoquartzite
-QZ content appears near 80 %
-interbedded with the sandstones
-BO appears to be the only mafic
Rock Number: 3
-massive grey Burntwood style pseumites with pinhead GR and very rich in calcsilicate and calcarenite layers
-one layer invisable on the outcrop
-folded into th outcrop from the west with Fl as axial surface
-theres only about 4 m of section visable
| Mineral | Abundance (%) |
---
garnet
tourmaline
epidote
Rock Number: 4
-abundant injections parallel to layering and in th F2 cataclasis
-highly folded and boudinaged
-still fairly typical of the central zone intrusion
| Mineral | Abundance (%) |
---
tourmaline
muscovite
biotite
