A central shipping hub with highly competitive cost advantages

Manitoba's transportation when combined with warehousing and related industries contributes $6.8 billion to our GDP and is becoming one of the fastest-growing industries in Canada. Our province is located at the geographic centre of North America and is home to CentrePort Canada, the continent's largest trimodal port. CentrePort combines one of the largest trucking hubs in North America, rail access to all four North American gateways and one of the busiest air cargo facilities in Canada. Additionally, it's Canada's only inland trimodal port to provide foreign trade zone advantages.

Manitoba transportation and distribution companies have access to affordable warehouse space, providing significant cost advantages. With Manitoba's wealth of clean energy, transportation companies are well positioned for the shift to zero-emission vehicles. This includes 99 per cent renewable energy at some of the lowest published electricity rates in North America.
