Manitoba Start is a one-stop organization that connects newcomers to settlement, orientation, language and employment services. Manitoba Start will conduct a needs and assets assessment and refer individuals to a settlement worker and relevant services, including health care, child care, education, housing and employment services.


A wide range of employment and training services are offered through 13 Manitoba Jobs and Skills Development Centres situated throughout Manitoba, as well as through partnerships with community-based organizations and employers. Anyone authorized to work in Canada are eligible for general services. Services may include employment counselling, help to develop an employment plan and access to information about occupations and training opportunities.
