The Workforce Development Division's lead responsibility is to enhance Manitoba's economic stability and prosperity. Through a holistic approach, WD considers individuals, employer and organizational barriers and overall needs of our Province, while fostering and strengthening partnerships in the community in order to respond to labour market needs.

WD helps Manitobans find and keep good jobs, locate the appropriate training options, and support employers in organizational development and access to skilled workers. By also aligning income support programs with employment and skills training, there is an opportunity for Manitoban's to participate in the forward momentum of our province, build a career that meets the needs of their families and achieve their full potential.

Training and Employment Services has a wide range of employment service for Manitobans including employment/career counselling, job search assistance, information about pre-employment preparation, career options, skills training/upgrading opportunities.  Services are also delivered to employers and through partnerships with community, industry and employer groups.
