The seasonal influenza vaccine program is underway in Manitoba. The following people are eligible to get the seasonal flu shot at no cost:
Manitobans over the age of 65 should also get a pneumococcal shot at the same time as the seasonal flu shot. Most adults only need one pneumococcal shot in their lifetime.
If you have questions about whether you should get the seasonal flu vaccine, contact your health care provider or call Health Links – Info Santé at 788-8200 in Winnipeg or toll-free 1-888-315-9257.
