Troubles at Brandon House
Kennedy arrived at Brandon House in September 1811. Earlier in the year the men there had mutinied and driven away the master, Hugh Heney, who had just arrived to take charge. Kennedy was instructed to go to the troubled post and reassert control. He also found the men at Brandon House demanding and rebellious, but fared better than his predecessor.
