Manitoba Bridge Grant Stream A

Program Description

  • The Manitoba Bridge Grant - Stream A provided a one-time grant of $5,000 to eligible Manitoba small and medium-sized businesses and organizations.
  • The grant provided financial assistance to eligible Manitoba businesses and organizations that were required to fully close their premises to the public as a result of Manitoba COVID-19 Prevention Orders.
  • The deadline for applications was July 16, 2021. The intake period is now closed.
  • To qualify for the MBG:
  • The business or organization must have been actively operating or conducting business in Manitoba immediately prior to the implementation of applicable public health orders.
  • The business or organization was required to fully close their premises to the public as a result of Manitoba COVID-19 Prevention Orders in effect as of November 12, 2020 or any revisions to those Orders.



Manitoba Bridge Grant - Home Based Businesses

Program Description

  • The Manitoba Bridge Grant - Stream B provided a one-time grant up to a maximum of $5,000, to eligible full-time Manitoba home-based businesses.
  • The grant provided financial assistance to eligible Manitoba home-based businesses that were impacted by Manitoba COVID-19 Prevention Orders in effect as of November 12, 2020 or any revisions to those Orders.
  • The deadline for applications was July 16, 2021. The intake period is now closed.
  • Qualifying applicants received a grant equal to 10 per cent of their 2019 gross income up to a maximum of $5,000.
  • For businesses that launched part way through 2019, 2020 or 2021, and only completed a partial year, income was annualized based on the number of months the business was operating.

Yes. The grant is taxable and businesses will need to declare it as taxable income. Please note there will be no T4A slips issued.


No, as long as you meet all the eligibility criteria, you will not have to pay back the grant funds.
