Homelessness Community Advisory Council

On February 28, 2023, the Manitoba government launched “A Place for Everyone” the provincial homelessness strategy. The strategy takes a whole-of-government approach informed by consultations with service providers, Indigenous leaders, and people with lived experience.  We are investing $126 million to modernize the emergency response, provide housing with supports, prevent homelessness, develop person-centered service, and build rural and northern capacity.

The Community Advisory Council will play a role in governing the implementation and evaluation of the strategy.  We are asking community members involved in the homelessness sector, including members with lived experience, to apply and join the Council.

The Council will include up to 15 members including the chairperson. Members will be selected through a public application process to serve two-year terms.
