Monthly Enforcement Efforts

Keeping roads and highways safe for all Manitobans is a vital part of the Manitoba Motor Carrier Enforcement (MMCE) mandate. MMCE is a specialized government law enforcement agency that promotes road-safety and protects Manitoba’s infrastructure through enforcement, education and industry engagement. Our Strategic Objective is to make Manitoba roads the safest in Canada.

Each month MMCE conducts focused inspections, enforcement blitzes and outreach activities to promote safe operations of motor carriers on Manitoba highways. Motor Carrier Enforcement Officers work hard to protect all users of Manitoba’s 19,000 kilometres of provincial trunk highways and provincial roads by ensuring the safety of large trucks, motor coaches and school busses and their drivers through roadside inspection, enforcement, facility audits and investigations.

Through education initiatives and strategic enforcement plans, MMCE continues to positively impact the safety of those travelling Manitoba’s highways. MMCE works diligently to emphasize the importance of safe driving behaviours of all drivers to ensure the safety of all road users.
