Victim Witness Assistance Program
The Victim Witness Assistance (VWA) program provides support services to crime victims and witnesses who are subpoenaed to appear in either Provincial Court or Court of King's Bench, in Winnipeg. To learn more about subpoenas, click here
Services to victims and witnesses include:
- written correspondence with the Crown attorney about their specific case concerns
- court preparation
- accompaniment to court
- court cancellation notifications
- reimbursement of expense claims
