Important News and Program Updates
Flood Updates (July 7, 2026)
Park visitors should check manitoba511.ca or call 5-1-1 before travelling.
Duck Mountain Provincial Park is closed. Road washouts are extensive on all access roads, and roads throughout the park have sustained significant damage. All roads are closed to traffic. This closure is necessary to allow crews and heavy equipment to safely complete repairs. Repairs are expected to take some time given the scale of the work required across the Parkland region.
Cottagers and campers who were required to leave the park will be contacted after road repairs are complete and it is safe to return. Those who had to leave trailers, boats, or other property behind will be contacted as soon as conditions allow for safe retrieval. The park continues to be patrolled and monitored. For information and updates, cottagers and campers may call 431-363-0653.
Campgrounds are closed until at least July 23.
Rainbow Beach Provincial Park campground is closed until at least July 23.
Manipogo Provincial Park has a partial campground closure.
Rivers Provincial Park has a partial campground closure.
Asessippi Provincial Parkboat launch is closed. Docks have been removed. The beach is also closed. Do not stop vehicles or walk on PR 482 across Shellmouth Dam to view high water. Heavy traffic is using this narrow roadway as the PTH 83 detour between Russell and Roblin.
The Parks Reservation Service is contacting affected campers directly.
