Provincial Crop Diagnostic Lab

The Crop Diagnostic Lab assists growers in identifying diseases, weeds and insects of agricultural and horticultural crops.

Identification and diagnosis of agricultural samples from Manitoba are free of charge.

For non-agricultural submissions such as home gardens, trees or ornamentals there is a fee of $10 + GST per sample. Cheque or cash payment only.

Samples can be submitted to one of the  AGR/MASC Service Centres or to the lab at 545 University Crescent, Winnipeg, MB. Contact the lab at (204) 945-4825 or crops@gov.mb.ca.
