Movement of Animals and Products
Tracking the movement of food products through the food supply chain is an important part of a traceability system.
The goal is to be able to trace an item or a group of items - whether animal, plant, food product or ingredient - from one point in the supply chain to another, either backwards or forwards.
Movement tracking works hand in hand with animal identification and premises identification to form a good traceability system.
